The first part of our day was sharing what we did over the break. There appeared to be a lot of relaxation time for all; this is always the best way to recharge the batteries.
In the afternoon the focus was on beginning to understand how man evolved from nomadic tribes to building civilizations. Our learning intention was: I can describe the essential components necessary for all civilizations to exist. Questions were presented, students discussed thoughts in groups of three, and shared their ideas using the website Today's Meet. Students are starting to build a foundation of what features need to be present for civilizations to exist. This will be continued tomorrow.

2) Genius Hour - Gh posts must be completed on class website - due Tuesday. Everyone needs to carefully check their posts to ensure each step in the process has been completed (only Park Bom was 100% done at the end of the day). See Friday before spring break for more detail. Also, follow the How to tab under the GH tab of the class website.
3) Art - Pencil portion to be completed for Tuesday. Have your first art with self assessment at school onTuesday along with second art.
Coloring will be due Friday end of the day. (Remember you are working to show improvement from your first one - mediocrity is not an option!)
