Another productive day in class. Through discussions the students have determined the characters, plot and settings that are common to most fantasy stories. This is the start of our understanding of different genres in reading.
We had our first assembly today where we reviewed the ROLES and introduced the staff to all the students. Lots of energy in the gym this morning.
It was a fun afternoon as we did a trial run of Mystery Skype getting prepared for our official first one tomorrow. The students had a chance to practise different roles such as the questioner, the reporter, the greeter and more. I am excited to see how quickly both sets of students figure out where each lives.
1) French - title page due Oct. 7
2) Notices - there are many notices still outstanding. Please check for the following at home:
3) Drivers still needed for Grouse Grind
4) Planner money - still 7 students outstanding on the $5
Comments: After doing the trial run of Mystery Skype how did it go for you? What worked in your group? What did not? What do you plan on doing differently tomorrow?
I am a grade 7 teacher who has been teaching in the Surrey School District for over 28 years. I love to read, garden, walk, and spend time with family, friends and my golden retriever Kona.
