Collaboration and critical thinking were at the centre of our learning today. Students worked as teams to discover the meaning of 'Culture' in our society. Before we share what our Canadian culture is with our friends in Romania it was important that each of us had a thorough understanding of the concept.
Students also worked collaboratively to give direction, clarification and feedback as we updated the ePortfolios on the student websites.
Finally, students discovered the relationship between finding the circumference of a circe and the radius/diameter of it. Soon the students will be challenged to put their knowledge of area, perimeter and volume to good use by creating a project around a real world situation.
