In Math today students were able to have some fun utilizing their knowledge of decimals in card and dice games. It was great to see how comfortable most have become with the multiplying and dividing skills of decimal numbers.
The penny drive has started off very, very well. I will be delivering 12 bags to the bank this weekend which means we have collected $300 already. Some of the students in our class have brought in loads of pennies (one student filled almost 4 bags himself) and the rest of the school is contributing in a big way. It would be great to see the Titans come together, dig up those pennies, contribute them to a wonderful cause and reach our goal of filling 100 bags. Pennies can change lives!
1) Grade 7s - get Math test signed for Monday morning. Also, upload math test image to Eportfolio if you choose. The learning intention is: I can demonstrate my understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of decimal numbers. Also include a "What I learned" statement.
2) Reading Journals - complete your written response to Wonder including your connections, the wows and any questions you have. Take your time and be detailed.
3) Bring in your pennies.
The Think We team is supporting Free the Children's We Create Change Campaign. The team will be collecting pennies to help provide safe drinking water for people in developing countries. For every $25 collected one person will have access to clean water. Please support the leadership team by digging up all those pennies and help the team help others less fortunate in the world.
