It has been a wonderful week being back at it with the students. So much was covered to start the year, and all the students were engaged in their learning.
In Language Arts we continued to work on creating Found Poems. It was interesting to see that so many have difficulty moving away from writing in paragraphs to letting go and being creative; this process is wonderful. Students start on a new art project today which based its structure from Roy Lichenstein's 1960/70's art. Bold color, impact of image, onomatopoeia connection. I am looking forward to seeing their creations next week.
