Putting our investigative hats on, students spent time this afternoon using classification strategies to determine unknown minerals. It was interesting watching the variety of students as some were willing to take a guess at which mineral they thought it was based on their observations and did not hesitate with being wrong. Others needed to confirm, or tried to confirm what the correct answer was going to be (which they did not find out today :)).
1) Lit. Circles - combined journal due on Monday
2) Math - retest for those who wish to take it is on Thursday
