This morning the class had a chance to discuss the importance of The Kind Cycle, doing something for someone else just because. Throughout the month of February we will be paying extra attention to helping others feel good, just to make their day!
After recess we had a surprise fire drill. Even in the cold weather the students did an excellent job remembering to stay calm, cool and collected.
Finally, we finished the day by having the first 5 presentations on the Culture Projects shared. I interesting thing I learned today was that the Scottish like to eat Haggis - quite an interesting sounding food!

2) LA- watch for email regarding feedback. Your final Heroism piece is due on Wednesday (printed off at home please)
3) Socials - work on finalizing the presentations; for those who are done - Eportfolio LI - I can demonstrate an understanding of the diversity of my culture. Share an image of your presentation (screenshot) and complete a small reflection. Share 2 things that you learned that you didn't know before. Describe one thing that you found different in your heritage country to that of Canada.
Tuesday, Feb. 4 - Walking to Clayton Heights to see Band Performance. Must be at school by 8:25.
Friday, Feb. 7 - Olympic Day - wear your Canadian gear from the 2010 Olympics or any Canadian items. Bring your souvenirs, or wear red and white. Let's Go Canada!
Feb. 6 and 7 - Candy Gram Orders being taken. Each Candy Gram is $1 a bag.
Tuesday, Feb. 11 - Multicultural Day - Bring an item of food to share, if you can, from your home country. All of the grade 6&7s will be sharing these items. You will not need to feed the crowd just a small amount to share. The afternoon will be the Olympic Games in the gym.
