![]() I hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend off and was able to get some relaxation time in. We hit the ground running this morning and plan to continue for the remainder of the year.
It is a really good thing to be flexible in life. The students needed this quality for today. Science Alive! joined the grade 6/7 classes for some science fun and hands on experiences. Division 1 was split into 4 groups where 2 groups were a part of the workshops in the morning and two in the afternoon. Those who stayed in the class spent time self assessing their blogging and setting goals for improvement. It has become very clear that students need to spend more time using criteria when completing their work to ensure success. Students also had a chance to continue to work on their math projects but since the students were split into groups we have had to postpone the completion until tomorrow. 1) LA - Blog - all students must blog tonight if it was not done yesterday or in class today. Use the self assessment sheet to guide your writing. You are looking to improve on what you have been doing. Later this week you will be expected to choose one new blog to reassess and place in your google drive. - Combined Journal #2 - It is recommended that you begin to write out your second combined journal. Use the feedback I have given you to direct this piece of learning. Again, it is important to show that you have used the feedback to grow as a writer and thinker. 2) Math - retest was postponed due to Science Alive - will happen on Wednesday - project due date postponed to Wednesday
